70s kitchens are weird. So... citrusy and brown.
Someone's upset now that there are people talking about them behind their backs... but what exactly happened to those hikers?
It's tough to imagine just how hard it would be to be imprisoned for thirty years against your will. There's a lot of rage and built up frustration that Early's only been able to take out on trees or rocks, and through scaring the daylights out of anyone she caught wandering in the forest at night... but what about those that never returned? What were their fates, then, if not a cruel demise?
It's interesting to be able to mold someone's view of a 'reality' to fit ones own ends and plots. I see a lot of this 'framing the facts' going on in our current political world and it's frequently just too much to bear most days... but when the tone can be played for enhancing a story and for bringing the truth to light in the proper way... you can make the world a better place even with a little carefully crafted deception... hopefully.
Early was still a bad person. She may not have hurt anyone, but she did cause a lot of trouble outside of anyone else's control... but the Demons would have found someone else to manipulate if she hadn't been who she was... and many more lives may have been drastically different as a result...
Who's to say what's truly wrong and truly right anymore?
Whew, made it through a whole month with consistent updates, though I'm stumblin' a little bit here at the end. Still struggling to care more about art and get my obligations finished and out of the way, but I'm doing what I can...
Some days it's just pulling teeth to get a comic out of me. Today was one of those days.
Need so much more energy to be successful and it just isn't in me sometimes. I should probably check up with a doctor before the Republicans destroy my only chance to be able to afford it.
Managed to build up enough energy to create this comic strip by first taking a few folks' suggestions in the stream and making quick 15-30 minute doodles of them... then made a comic and everything was awesome. Treating it like an engine that needs time to warm up may help me get caught up and start working down my commission list again...
I got a little overloaded with the work I wanted to put into Boomer Express and burned out for a week there, but instead of doing nothing I managed to clear out the last of my Anthrocon 2016 commission list... so now I can finally start working on my Patreon rewards for both Boomer Express and for my art on the side!
Still gonna try to keep up three strips as best I can, but I've burned through the huge writing blitz I did of about 30 strips or so a while back, so it's definitely time to plan ahead for the last few strips in this Book... then I want to take a break to redesign the site and try to make it more professional and updated and get the word out that "Hey, I Make Comics".
