And, with DigiPen now complete, I suppose I’m officially back with Boomer Express. Took me a bit longer than I thought to get a strip done, though, so I’m probably going to stick to Black and White for now. This story’s just about to get interesting, and since it’s been on something of a hold for years, I’m grateful to everyone who’s stuck around and welcome everyone back to see how this story of mine shapes up. Welcome Back, and let’s get this Precursor Saga started!

School is going okay. Could be a lot worse, could be a lot better. I’m able to take random swipes at comics on rare occasion and eventually get one finished to a degree I’m satisfied with… I’m almost out of sketchbook paper again though. Should pick up a new one to start makin’ more comics once I’m out of college this May… >crosses fingers<

My deepest apologies for the sheer quantity of lazy tomfoolery with Boomer Express. I’ve been enjoying my vacation far too much, and have finally wrangled my lethargic brain into completing this strip and one more for the New Year’s.

I could have sworn I scheduled this to update on the 29th, but for some reason ComicPress didn’t take it. I wish I understood why.

Hooray for another strip though, and one relatively close to another!

Whew, seems like I’m at least able to keep a single comic per month coming… I’ve got the next one inked and should find some time to squeeze in for photoshop work soon. Still have plans for the strip someday!

Going back to DigiPen for my senior year now, I’m really anxious and hope I’ll finally manage to make something worth showing off at the school, for once…

Finally peeled out another strip from the lazyness that is my brain. I’ve pulled myself in so many directions with what I want to do sometimes. School looming again on the horizon, a forty hour work week, and the commissions I’ve had languishing behind me for so many months… I can’t pick a direction sometimes, but at least I was able to do something fun and get another strip done relatively quickly. Back to work tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll have another strip or two sketched up during breaks.

Yay, got another strip out of my mind and onto paper and entirely Photoshopped up on my laptop while on vacation. Can’t say I don’t at least try to make ends meet here.

I do wish I could do this strip full time…

And Vikki’d better snap out of it and get moving before that otte’ragon comes crashing down on her! She’s only got until the next strip to move!

Well, I suppose it’s not easy to say, but Life has been hectic over these last few months. I appreciate those who are still following, if anyone, and I’m working on bringing Boomer Express back to the forefront in some capacity over the summer. Comics are getting easier to craft, and I’m getting better at managing my time, but there’s still a lot to do, and a full-time Summer Job at Microsoft to occupy most of my time. Weekends are still relatively free, and I’ll see if I can wrangle three strips a week out of it somehow.

In other news, 5/26 marked the Ninth Anniversary of my very first comic strip. Nine years ago, I started drawing in my cubicle at work, dreaming of DigiPen, art, animation, and programming games for a living. Now I’m beta-testing games for Kinect as a summer job, and have one year to go to get my BFA degree. Amazing what can happen in a single decade. I can’t wait to see how far Boomer Express goes in the coming year… maybe I can help it catch up with my life somehow…
